This digital illustration was created as a technical exercise in realism and material rendering.
The piece depicts a pinecone-inspired pendant featuring a domed glass cabochon with an iridescent Tree of Life design, set within a textured copper-orange bezel with an aged patina. Through careful simulation of metal texture, glass refraction, and light interaction, the work explores the challenges of rendering multiple materials in a single object.
Originally developed as a commission, it was later reclaimed as a personal study and now serves as a record of technical growth in observational rendering and digital material simulation.
