Writing
This portfolio is an evolving archive of poetry, essays, and creative nonfiction that traces the ideas behind my work as they continue to develop over time.
My writing explores many of the same themes found throughout my visual artwork: memory, identity, transformation, symbolism, grief, recovery, creativity, philosophy, and our relationship with the natural world.
Some pieces begin as poems, others as essays or personal reflections, but each contributes to a record of observation, curiosity, and lived experience. Rather than treating writing as separate from my artistic practice, I see it as another medium through which to investigate and preserve ideas.
Sometimes words become the foundation for future artwork; other times they document the thoughts, questions, and moments that exist alongside the creative process.
Together, these works form an archive of questions, discoveries, and moments that continue to shape my work across every medium.
