You know that feeling of first light on a summer morning? 🌄 That quiet moment just after sunrise, when everything is still cool with dew and the flowers haven't quite warmed beneath the sun yet.
Like stepping outside early enough that the garden is still holding onto the night, while the first warm light rises above the horizon, turning everything it touches a little bit golden. Hints of pink catching in the rays as they beam through the clouds.
That was the feeling I had in mind while making Summer Morning Halo.

Three stems of real pressed Veronica 'Giles van Hees' rise through the center of this one-of-a-kind botanical artwork, surrounded by an oval arrangement of pastel hydrangea florets. Two pressed violets complete the composition with sunny touches of color.

I took it apart, repainted it, and gave it a new purpose. Something from the past, transformed into hope for the future.
