“Bass Face” [2022]

Bass Face Collective is an EDM promotion company based in Detroit, MI.
They approached me to design a merchandise line for the 2022 festival season.
This was my first experience with a big collaboration & I was really excited for the opportunity. I learned a lot about Michigan’s electronic music industry from this partnership and experienced vending at shows for the first time.
Description:
A highly saturated, symmetrical digital portrait fills the frame against solid black. The central face-like form is constructed from layered psychedelic patterns: concentric circles, radiating arcs, repeating eye motifs, and flowing wave/line geometries. A large central eye sits above a smaller secondary eye and mouth-like shape, flanked by oversized vertical speaker/cone structures on both sides. The entire composition pulses with a vivid rainbow gradient—intense magenta, electric blue, lime green, neon orange, yellow, and cyan—creating strong optical contrast and depth through overlapping translucent layers, grid textures, and radial symmetry. Small dotted accents and micro-patterns add fine detail throughout.
