Introduction
"Spectral Fox" was made as a lighter piece after the heavy emotional mandalas from earlier in 2023. It was a deliberate return to the basics of my signature style.
I went back to dense, vibrating multicolored linework, but with more control and clarity than before.
The focus was on the fox as a recurring personal symbol, set against a dreamy, cosmic background with a glowing crystalline ring.
After working through Heaven’s Gate and Grief’s Cage, this piece felt like breathing room. It wasn’t about processing something heavy. It was about reconnecting with the energetic linework that started everything, while letting in a little more light and magic.
The fox looking upward gave it a quiet, almost spiritual presence. This was still a minor piece, but it reminded me that I could move between intense emotional work and something simpler without losing the core of what I do. Sometimes you need to go back to the basics to keep moving forward.
