Introduction
This hand-drawn mandala is a compass of consciousness, a map of spiritual alignment.
The diverse symbols reflect a universal tapestry of spiritual wisdom, drawing from traditions across cultures and time.
This piece is both a meditation and an invitation to explore the deeper threads that bind all things together.
It represents a continued exploration of dense, symbolically rich, psychedelic mandala work, while expanding into cross-cultural iconography.
Image Description:
A large radially symmetrical mandala fills the square frame, constructed from layered concentric rings and interlocking petal-like forms. Deep violet anchors the composition, while bands of green, teal, maroon, and gold create rhythmic movement across the surface.
At the center, a radiant yellow sunburst encircles a stylized Eye of Providence. The eye is rendered with visual elements reminiscent of protective eye motifs, such as the evil eye, found across Mediterranean traditions.
-
AKA All Seeing Eye
A historic symbol associated with divine watchfulness and higher awareness.
-
A concept referring to protection against a harmful curse or spell believed to be cast through an envious or malicious glare. This belief has ancient roots, appearing in various cultures worldwide, and is often associated with feelings of jealousy and envy.
-
The ancient serpent devouring its tail, long associated with cyclicality, continuity, and renewal.
Eight circular medallions orbit the core, each framed by an ouroboros. Within these medallions appear geometric and cultural symbols drawn from diverse spiritual and philosophical systems:
-
A geometric pattern composed of overlapping circles, widely associated with creation and the interconnectedness of all life.
-
The almond-shaped intersection of two circles, historically present in sacred art and architecture and often interpreted as a symbol of unity, creation, and the merging of material and spiritual worlds.
-
A triple-spiral motif found in Celtic art, commonly associated with motion, progress, the cycles of life, and the interconnection of mind, body, and spirit.
-
(Sacred Hoop–inspired motif AKA Four Corners)

West (Black) To the west, the sun sets, and the day ends.
North (Red) North brings the cold, harsh winds of the winter season.
East (Yellow)The direction from which the sun comes. South
(White) The Directions can also represent: Stages of life: birth, youth, adult (or elder), death.
-
A complex geometric pattern in Hindu and Tantric traditions, representing the path to spiritual enlightenment, layered planes of consciousness, and the union of divine energies.
-
A Taoist symbol expressing complementary dualities in dynamic balance in the universe: light and dark, chaos and order, masculine and feminine.
-
A five-pointed star within a circle, used in Western esoteric traditions to represent the five elements (earth, air, fire, water, spirit) and protection.
-
AKA Hecate's Wheel
An ancient Greek symbol associated with the moon goddess Hekate and themes of liminality, crossroads, and cycles.
Between the primary medallions, stained-glass-like tessellations fill the interstitial space with miniature symbolic references including:
-
A symbol of truth, justice, and balance in ancient Egyptian mythology, used in the weighing of the soul.
-
A looped figure-eight representing eternity, boundless possibilities, and the cyclical nature of life.
-
Found in many cultures, this symbolizes interconnectedness, wisdom, and the eternal cycle of birth, growth, and renewal.
-
A protective amulet shaped like an open hand, used across various cultures to ward off evil and bring blessings, prosperity, and strength.
-

A mystical staff often linked to Hermes Trismegistus, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and alchemical mastery.
-
A union of opposites, representing cosmic balance, harmony between masculine and feminine energies, and the passage of time.

A three-dimensional star tetrahedron representing spiritual ascension, divine light, and the balance between the physical and ethereal realms.
-
An Egyptian symbol of transformation, protection, and the rising sun.
-
The sacred sound of the universe in Hinduism and Buddhism, embodying creation, divine presence, and the essence of all existence.
-
The Egyptian symbol of life and immortality, signifying eternal existence and the balance of masculine and feminine energies.
-
An interwoven pattern with no beginning or end, symbolizing eternity, interconnectedness, and the infinite cycle of life.
-
Three moons (waxing, full, and waning) symbolizing the maiden, mother, and crone, which represent phases of the divine feminine and the cycle of life.

A universal mythological symbol of creation and potential, representing the birth of existence from chaos into order.
